Boom covers are made to measure by Di-Tech Sailmakers, in hydrorepellant and breathable woven acrylic, which is very important to maintain the sail and protect it from atmospheric agents, whilst also keeping it dry and well aired. It is possible to personalize with name and logo.
It is made with an anti-UV thread, is closed at the front with a zip, and the length of the boom is closed with buckles and straps, laced at the collar of the mast and boom. Two models are available, normal or with extra canvas, the normal model is used in windy areas and on boats that have a spray hood close to the boom, those with the skirt give much more air to the main sail.
It takes about 10days for a boom cover to be made to measure in your chosen colour and sent to a given address. To do this, the Company would require the measurement illustrated below:
A) Height of the head of the mainsail to the lower side of the boom B) Circumference of the mast C) Circumference at 45° from the sail folded onto the boom D) Length from the front of the mast to the very end of the main sail E) Circumference of the boom T) Size of the head of the main sail
